By accessing or using ConfiDoc Life ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

ConfiDoc Life is a family intelligence platform that helps families organize, store, and manage their important documents securely. The Service includes document storage, AI-powered organization, reminders, and family sharing features.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of all documents and content you upload to ConfiDoc Life. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and backup your content securely
• Process your content to provide AI features (metadata extraction, search)
• Display your content back to you and authorized family members

We do not sell, share, or use your content for advertising purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Subscription and Payments

ConfiDoc Life offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You may export your data at any time using our data export feature. You may also request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. Upon deletion request, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Limitation of Liability

ConfiDoc Life is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
