How secure is ConfiDoc Life?
We use AES-256 encryption for all stored documents, TLS 1.3 for data in transit, and run on AWS infrastructure that is SOC 2 Type II certified. Your data is as secure as your bank's.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export all your documents and data at any time from Settings → Security → Export Data. You'll receive a ZIP file containing all your documents and a JSON file with your metadata.
How do I share documents with family members?
Go to Settings → Family, enter your family member's email address, and choose their access level. They'll receive an invitation to join your family vault.
What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
Your data remains intact if you downgrade to the free plan, though you may lose access to some premium features. You can always export your data before making any changes to your subscription.
How does the AI assistant work?
Our AI extracts key information (dates, amounts, names) from your documents automatically. You can also ask questions in natural language like "When does my passport expire?" and get instant answers from your documents.
What file types are supported?
We support PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, DOCX, DOC, and TXT files. For scanned documents and images, we use OCR to extract text automatically.
Can I use ConfiDoc Life on mobile?
Yes! ConfiDoc Life is fully responsive and works on all devices. A dedicated mobile app is coming soon.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Security → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm and optionally export your data first. Once confirmed, your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
